It is our vision that Christ Community Church be a community of believers where passion for God expresses itself in compassion for others. We worship corporately, share our lives with one another and study the bible in small group environments, and minister to others and one another in many different ministry teams. Our church is governed by elders, who work with deacons and staff members to accomplish our mission and vision.
Christ Community Church was originally organized as a mission (church plant) of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian (ARP) Church in March 1980. The purpose has always been to proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ. John Kimmons, founding pastor, helped establish the church verse from 2 Corinthians 4:5 "We preach not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake"
Christ Community hopes to expand the number of opportunities we have to grow in our faith by reaching out and caring for others (loving our neighbors as ourselves.) We want to share the good news of Jesus Christ in word and deed.
