Nursery: What If Your Child Is Sick

For the protection of all of our children, Christ Community Church does not allow sick children in the nursery. Parents may not bring children to the nursery if any of the following symptoms exist:

  • Fever greater than 100 or a fever within the last 24 hours.
  • Discolored nasal drainage
  • Contagious rash (unlike diaper rash or eczema)
  • Persistent cough
  • Diarrhea
  • Communicable disease such as measles, mumps, chicken pox, strep throat, pink eye (conjunctivitis) or impetigo.

If being treated with antibiotics, the child must be on the medication for at least 24 hours before coming to the nursery. If a nursery worker observes a child with any of these symptoms, the nursery coordinator must be notified. The parent will be requested to remove the child from the nursery if necessary.
