What to expect when bringing a child to the nursery
The following procedures are essential in ensuring that caregivers can identify children and provide for their security.
- Check-in
- Check in at greeting station/fill out sign-in sheet completely.
- Parents will receive a beeper.
- Children are issued a permanent tag with child’s name and parent’s name. Each parent is given a corresponding tag. For security reasons, the parent must show this tag when picking up their child.
- Visitor tags are provided for visitors. The corresponding parent tag is to be presented before receiving a child.
- All bottles, cups, pacifiers, diaper bags must be labeled with a permanent marker or sticker.
- Check-out
- Identified parent or legal guardian may pick up child with laminated name tag.
- Return beeper, both laminated name tags and take diaper bag.
In order to cut down on traffic and provide security, parents may not come into the nursery room at check-in or check-out times without permission from the coordinator.
First time visitors will be offered a tour at designated times.
